The new 5-a-side season started this week, and already we’re top of the table after our opponents failed to show. We also got a run out in a friendly against a higher division team and played some nice football in a tight game. At half time I passed over the gloves for a few minutes and even managed to come off the bench to slot home a breakaway goal. It’s nice to get out from between the sticks every now and again, but I don’t think I’ll be pushing any of the guys for their place on a regular basis!
It was good to meet all the guys on Tuesday after a few weeks off, but not quite as great as meeting another person earlier in the day…
