Season draws to a close

WHAT A WIN!!!!!

Our rearranged game against the Champions elect turned out to be our performance of the season. Our opponents went into their last game with a 100% record and averaging nearly seven goals a game. We were one down within a few frenetic first half minutes and tackles were flying in. The ref even called the captains together before half time to calm a few players down. We equalised to go into the break even, and felt that we had a chance of a result. That crucial first goal of the second half fortunately went to us and through some good organisation and a few choice saves from yours truly, we held on for a famous victory.

Our last game is next week, we’re lying 6th but a win would guarantee not only a winning season of 5 wins and 4 losses but also 3rd place in the league.

Lights out in North London

This weeks game has been postponed due to blown floodlights. So we have an extra week to prepare for our crunch clash against the league leaders.

Just as well really as I have been busy doing budgets, filling in forms and making phone calls to organise our move to Datchet. We’ve managed to rent our property and found a great 3 bedroom house, with a horse paddock backing onto it. Not that we’ll be doing any riding!
